Game Instructions

The password for the next level is stored in the file data.txt, where all lowercase (a-z) and uppercase (A-Z) letters have been rotated by 13 positions

When we cat the data.txt file, we get this jumble: Gur cnffjbeq vf 5Gr8L4qetPEsPk8htqjhRK8XSP6x2RHh

Based off of the game description. We know it is just rotated text 13 times. (Look up rot13)

Here we’ll use tr to reverse the rot13 “encryption”. A primitive form of letter scrambling (not secure).
